VIM Energy Systems Signs SEK 190 Million Order for Battery Storage Park in Moldova

VIM Energy Systems, part of Nasdaq First North-listed Vimab Group, has won a contract worth approximately SEK 190 million to design, deliver, install and commission a battery storage park in Moldova. The order marks the company’s second contract in Eastern Europe within a short period and reinforces its growing presence in the region.

The order

The customer is Esco-Voltaj S.R.L, with delivery to the state-owned company CET-Nord. The order covers the full scope of a turnkey BESS project: design, delivery, installation and commissioning of complete battery energy storage units. Commercial operation is planned for the first quarter of 2027, with payment following the project’s milestones.

Growing presence in Eastern Europe

The Moldova order follows a pilot agreement to deliver battery systems to Albania, signed earlier this year. VIM Energy Systems now has projects equivalent to 160 MWh outside Sweden, in addition to a battery park in Sweden completed this summer. Both Moldova and Albania are EU candidate countries, and the company’s expansion in the region has had active support from Swedish embassies on the ground.
